Scholarships for Veterans at Brandman and Irvine Valley College

Irvine Rotary President Elect (2019-20) Sheila Steinberg and Brandman Chancellor Gary Brahm

The Vocational Services Committee for the Rotary Club of Irvine has supported the Bryan Fazio Scholarship fund since 2015. In accepting donations on behalf of the fund, Brahm noted that both Irvine Rotary and Brandman University have a long history of supporting veterans. “We’ve been a partner with them for a number of years,” he said.

The Bryan Fazio Scholarship, which is currently accepting applications, was created in 2013 in honor of Navy veteran Bryan Fazio’s perseverance in completing his MBA while diagnosed with an aggressive form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Fazio continues to support the university through alumni activities.

Irvine Rotary provides support equivalently to the veterans scholarship fund at Irvine Valley College, where the club also provided $5,000 in seed funds for the Veteran’s Resource Center.
