Calling All Volunteers – Bring your friends and Family and Kids!

Location: Segerstrom Center of the Arts, 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa

Come join Irvine Rotary for our biggest hands on community service event!

We are making non-sew fleece blankets for chemotherapy patients at the 10,000 plus person Making Strides Against Cancer walk.   Rotarians, friends and members of the public will join us at our sponsored Irvine Rotary service area in front of Segerstrom Hall.   Every one who creates one blanket will be given the option to give their blanket made to a friend with cancer undergoing chemotherapy.   The remaining blankets will be distributed to cancer centers in California by YANA and American Cancer Society.   We are joined at this event by YANA, who is also giving free hand knitted caps for cancer patients with every blanket.

Those of you wishing to join the walk can also support the cause by walking in the walk or donating funds to American Cancer Society.

2 Blanket Making shifts:

  • 7 to 9 a.m.
  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Walk starts at 8 a.m.     WEAR PINK and show your spirit to battle Cancer!
